Delegation from the Department of Applied Sciences on a scientific visit (student visit)

    Based on the principle of scientific cooperation between the departments and scientific centers in our university, the Energy Technology and Renewable Energy Center at the University of Technology receives a delegation from the Department of Applied Sciences on a scientific visit (student visit).

• The Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center, represented by the center's lecturers and engineers (Assistant Lecturer Raghad Rahman Mahdi, Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Abdul Sattar, Engineer Mariam Bahaa Ahmed), received a delegation of instructors and students from the Department of Applied Sciences, second stage, Physics Branch on Tuesday 12/3/2024, in a scientific visit to enhance fruitful scientific interaction between the scientific departments and research centers.
• The goal of the visit is to have a field visit, scientific benefit, and learn about the devices and tests at the center.
• The visit included viewing and learning about the center's laboratories (Solar Energy Laboratory and Thermal Energy Laboratory) and learning about the mechanism of the devices and their benefits and linking them from a scientific point of view with the theoretical study materials of their department. Also, it good point to learn how to benefit from them in future graduation projects and giving intellectual assignments to develop the research aspect of the students.

   The visit concluded by answering all questions and inquiries. The lecturers and students of the Department of Applied Sciences expressed their admiration for what they saw in the laboratories and expressed their thanks and gratitude to the center.

Workshop

Drugs and their psychological effects on the individual and society, how to protect the addict from the danger of drugs

     The Energy and Renewable Energy Technology Center, University of Technology-Iraq, held two workshops entitled (Drugs and their psychological effects on the individual and society, how to protect the addict from the danger of drugs) on ’Monday, 2/12/2024, which was attended by the center’s staff. The lecturer (Assistant Teacher Mustafa Abdul sattar Ibrahim) from Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center was presented the two workshops.

• The first workshop included: Defining addiction and giving an idea about the main cause of the destruction of society and the psychological and health risks it causes to the individual and giving a broader concept about the types of drugs and hallucinogenic drugs for the mind. The aim of the workshop was to remind people of the dangers of drugs and how to preserve human health.
• The second workshop included: Protecting the individual and society from the scourge of drugs that violate the sanctity of society and identifying ways to escape from this crime by applying religious advice and practicing sports activities. The aim of the workshop was how to follow advice and guidance in society and activate the supervisory role of the family regarding the crime of drugs.

The workshop finished with answering questions and inquiries. 

Our center celebrates in obtaining first rank in Iraq for Science Day

        In an achievement that is proudly added to our record of center successes. The Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center was honored by the President of the University of Technology- Iraq Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Ghabban by University of Technology Shield in appreciation for obtaining the center first rank in Iraq for prizes Science Day for the years 2022 and 2023. This achievement reflects the great efforts made by the center's members, and their commitment to excellence and creativity in the field of scientific research and community service.

An acknowledgment and appreciation letter and Scientific Excellence Shield for the lecturers from energy and renewable energies technology center

     The lecturers (Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Ali Fayad and Professor Miqdam Tariq Chaichan) from Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center at the University of Technology- Iraq got an acknowledgment and appreciation letter and Scientific Excellence Shield from the President of the University of Technology Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Ghabban for their distinguished research activity. Also, they selected among the best 2% of world scientists by Stanford University for the year 2024, depending on scientific specialization, research path and citations.
