A group of the lecturers from the center published a review paper in journal within Scopus indexed    

 

The lecturers, Professor Ahmed A- Amiery, Assistant Professor Suha A. Mohammed and Assistant Professor Mohammed A. Fayad, from the energy and renewable energies technology Center at the University of Technology- Iraq published a scientific review paper in Journal of Results in Surfaces and Interfaces within Scopus indexed entitled:

Workshop / How to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to improve air quality

 

      The Energy and Renewable Energy Technology Center held a workshop entitled (How to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to improve air quality) on ’Monday, 11/11/2024 at 11:00 am, which was attended by the center’s staff. The lecture was given by Assistant Professor Rana Riyadh Khalil from the Office of the Assistant President for Academic Affairs. The lecture was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Riyadh Khalil from the Office of the Assistant President for Academic Affairs.

The workshop included the following topics:

  1. Sources of greenhouse gas emissions.
  2. Harmful effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
  3. How to limit and minimize these emissions.

The goal of the workshop: Raising people's awareness and full understanding of the dangers of these toxic emissions and the health and environmental harms they cause and explaining solutions to reduce them.

       The workshop ended by answering questions and inquiries, and our guest was honored with a certificate of appreciation. The center’s staff is wishing to her continued success.

Scientific Student Visit from the Department of Applied Sciences   

Based on the principle of scientific cooperation between the departments and scientific centers in our university, the Energy Technology and Renewable Energy Center at the University of Technology receives a delegation from the Department of Applied Sciences on a scientific visit (student visit).

  • The Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center, represented by the center's instructors and engineers, received a delegation of instructors and students from the Department of Applied Sciences, third stage, Physics Branch, on a scientific visit to enhance fruitful scientific interaction between the scientific departments and research centers.
  • The goal of the visit is to have a field visit, scientific benefit, and learn about the devices and tests at the center.
  • The visit included viewing and learning about the center's laboratories (Solar Energy Laboratory and Thermal Energy Laboratory) and learning about the mechanism of the devices and their benefits and linking them from a scientific point of view with the theoretical study materials of their department. Also, it good point to learn how to benefit from them in future graduation projects and giving intellectual assignments to develop the research aspect of the students.
  • The visit concluded by answering all questions and inquiries. The lecturers and students of the Department of Applied Sciences expressed their admiration for what they saw in the laboratories and expressed their thanks and gratitude to the center.

Workshops      

  A special day full of valuable information, Energy and Renewable Energy Technology Center presented three workshops with a humanitarian concept within the center's cultural season in Monday, 11/4/2024, at 11:00, which were attended by the center's staff.

The three workshops are presented as following:

  1. The crime of human trafficking, presented by (Assistant Professor Dr. Louay Abdul Aziz Mahdi)
  2. Drugs and their harms to the individual and society, presented by (Assistant Professor Salman Hussein Imran)
  3. The role of university education in protecting the student from extremism and terrorism, presented by (Assistant Professor Salman Hussein Imran. The goal of the workshops is intellectual and cultural awareness.

The workshop concluded by answering questions and inquiries.

 Workshop \ Green Fuel is Renewable Energy Future      

  

Manger of Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center (Assistant Professor Mohammed A. Fayad) held workshop entitled “Green fuel is renewable energy future” on Monday, 10/28/28/1024 at 11:00 am, which was attended by the center’s staff. The workshop included the following points:

  • Identifying biofuels, which is one of the sources of clean energy derived from living organisms (animal, vegetable) and its effective importance in reducing the environmental pollution caused by the sources of fossil energy.
  • Explaining the benefit that some countries have reached by those who used this clean energy and their developed research in this field.
  • Encourages the specialized researchers in this field to make a research related to this energy and work to develop it in order to encourage the use of this clean energy in Iraq.
